Job Apps.
Well, I submitted an application for the job I've been "fillng in " for since October. Someone more qualified may yet apply, more power to them. The job would mean a cut in pay and longer work year, but I'm ready for something new. Just sort of coasting the past couple of years. I won't know for at least a month and then the school board is very slow about some decisions. I hope this isn't one of them.

Will the cut in pay impact your retirement pay out? I know Texas has something to do with the last X years average. New jobs are fun! I still like mine.
My retirement should be OK our average is based on the 3 consecutive highest salaries. If I continued to work as a teacher, I would continue to get yearly raises, but I would also turn into one of those old teachers that gets cynical and lazy and should be retired, by force if necessary.
